Final Words - Week 1 - Contemporary

Series: Final Words

March 06, 2022 | Rev. Christopher Abel

Jesus lived this amazing, inspiring life. But sometimes we skip the part where he died. And as he was dying, Jesus still used his dying breath to teach us. Even in those painful moments, he wanted to show us what life and death could look like. The Bible actually records seven different statements that Jesus made on the cross—each an opportunity for us to learn. So, for the next 6 Sundays (and Good Friday), we’re going to take a deeper look at these sayings from the cross and what they mean for us today.

Series Information

Christians have the audacity to believe that Jesus died and was resurrected 2000 years ago. And yet, as he suffered and died, Jesus still spoke and taught. He cared enough to use his dying breath to impart wisdom and guidance to those who would listen. So join us through the season of Lent as we learn from these often-overlooked sayings and what they have to teach us today.
